SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION
As a parish we have adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy and the Parish Safeguarding Handbook, incorporating the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy and Practice Guidance. [Attached below is a link to the Parish Safeguarding Policy. The Parish Safeguarding Handbook is displayed in an A4 file in each church.]
Our PCC has formally adopted this Safeguarding Policy/ Promoting a Safer Church and representatives have signed the attached statement .
Details of our Parish Safeguarding Officer can be found in the attached ‘Report a Safeguarding Issue /Diocesan Safeguarding Team – and on the contact form [This document is attached by hyperlink or can be accessed from the drop-down menu for each church]
We have also displayed the Promoting a Safer Church poster prominently within the churches in our parish.
All those working with children and adults at risk have undergone safer recruitment, and received safeguarding training and support.
